Just For Kids

Sleepy Bear is Travelodge Hotel Regina's lovable mascot. Originally modeled after the State of California's Golden Bear in 1954, Sleepy Bear has evolved into a well-recognized and much loved mascot for the Travelodge Hotel chain.

Not only does Sleepy Bear symbolize the warmth and friendliness of Travelodge hotels and their staffs, but the bear's nightcap and "sleepy" eyes bring to mind the restful nights Travelodge Hotel Regina guests can expect during their stay.

Travelodge Hotel Regina is proud to have donated a Sleepy Bear's Den to the Saskatchewan Ronald McDonald House. As Travelodge's Corporate Charity of Choice, the Saskatchewan Ronald McDonald House provides a "home away from home" for families who come to Saskatoon to obtain medical care not available in their home communities.

For children being treated on an outpatient basis, the Ronald McDonald House provides a warm and cheerful environment that lets even the most ill among them find moments of playfulness. Even when a child must stay in the intensive care or

other pediatric unit at the hospital, they can rest easily knowing that Mom and Dad are not far away. Keeping the loved ones near a sick child may be some of the best medicine of all. Many of the children and families who use the Ronald McDonald House are from Regina and surrounding areas.

Travelodge Hotel Regina and Sleepy Bear are proud to support such a beneficial program in our local community. Through our annual Travelodge Saskatchewan Ronald McDonald House Charity Golf Tournament, our Hotel to date has raised $100,000.00 for the House.
